Burbank Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Tricycle Thieves

The Burbank Police are seeking the public's help in identifying three suspects responsible for the theft of adult tricycles from the BCR in Burbank. The BCR is a non-profit organization that provides day activity and extended day care programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.

On July 27, 2017, at about 6:10 PM, three suspects cut a lock on a gate and entered the BCR property, located at 230 E. Amherst Drive.  The suspects then cut a cable lock securing the tricycles, before riding away with them.  

The three tricycles stolen are Schwinn brand, tan in color, and valued at approximately $250 each.

"This is a significant loss to the organization, not just financially, but personally," said Sergeant Derek Green of the Burbank Police Department. "These tricycles were used for exercise, recreation, and rehabilitation by people suffering from both physical and mental disabilities."
