Administrative Services

The Administrative Services Division includes the following bureaus:

• Office of the Chief of Police
• COPS (Community Outreach and Personnel Services) Bureau, which is reponsible for recruitment and hiring, department-wide training, media relations, and community policing programs and events.
• Professional Standards Bureau, which is responsible for Department Audits and Inspections and Policies and Manuals.
• Internal Affairs Bureau (IAB), which is responsible for the investigation of allegations of employee misconduct and the management of administrative investigations. IAB also works in conjunction with the Burbank City Attorney's Office to respond to judicial requests, and with the Office of Independent Review as part of the external oversight component of the Department.
