Captain Eric Deroian
Captain Eric Deroian started his law enforcement career in 1991 with the City of Santa Monica Police Department, where he worked as a Field Training Officer in Patrol, a motorcycle officer, and as a SWAT/Sniper Team Member. In November 2000, Captain Deroian transferred to the California Department of Justice, Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, working international drug trafficking cartels as a Task-Force Officer with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. After promoting to the positions of Special Agent Supervisor, Task Force Commander and ultimately to Senior Deputy Director of the Los Angeles Regional Criminal Information Clearinghouse, Captain Deroian joined the Burbank Police Department as a Patrol Lieutenant in 2012.
For the last two years, Captain Deroian served as the Lieutenant of the Community Outreach and Personnel Services (COPS) Bureau.
Captain Deroian promoted to the rank of Captain in June of 2017.
As the Commanding Officer of the Support Services Division, Captain Deroian's areas of responsibility include the Communications Center, Records Bureau, Animal Shelter, Property and Evidence Sections, Building Maintenance, Parking Citation Management and the Jail. Captain Deroian has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership.
