The following is a storm update from the City of Burbank as of 9:30 A.M.:

Evacuations: Mandatory evacuations for Country Club Drive are still in effect. This includes all residences east of Via Montana.

An evacuation shelter is available at McCambridge Recreation Center (1515 N Glenoaks Blvd). Red Cross volunteers and Burbank Parks and Recreation staff are manning the shelter.

Street Closures: Country Club Drive at Via Montana remains closed. Residents are also warned to avoid these areas:

Bel Aire Drive at Vista Ridge
Walnut Avenue at Sunset Canyon
Harvard Road at Sunset Canyon

Additional Closures:

Stough Nature Center
Wildwood Canyon Recreation Area
Castaway Restaurant
DeBell Golf Course

Utilities: Homes located on County Club Drive do not currently have utility services. Southern California Gas Company has confirmed that they have turned off the gas to Country Club Drive residences. All utility companies are currently inspecting damage and will return services as soon as possible.

Additional Assessments: LA County Public Works is assessing debris basins. City Building and Safety will be reviewing the area along with Environmental Health and the Forestry Department.

Injuries/Fatalities: None within the City of Burbank.

Advisements:

Once residents return to Country Club Drive, they can push storm debris onto City streets for pickup.

Residents along Country Club Drive may see water and additional debris occurring along the street as Burbank Water and Power conduct fixes and testing.

Hiking trails remain closed until further notice. Burbank Police Department will enforce with citations.

An additional update will be sent today at approximately at 4 P.M.
