>>HILLSIDE BURN AREAS - 7:30 A.M. UPDATE>>
Overnight, the City of Burbank experienced heavy rainfalls warranting the extension of Voluntary Evacuation Warnings for hillside burn areas until at least 11:00 A.M. PST today. These Voluntary Evacuation Warnings are as follows:
>> Country Club Dr above Via Montana
>> All of Hamline Place
>> 925-1030 Groton Drive
>> 830-849 Stephen Rd
>> 907-936 Irving Dr
>> 2906 & 2934 Olney Place
>> 2934 Remy Place
>> 2949 Mystic View Place
>> 3430-3436 Brace Canyon Rd
>> 3301-3310 Brookshire Court
>> 3318, 3321 & 3322, 3422 Wedgewood Court
>> 3514-3519 Folkstone Court
>> 3529-3530 Castleman Ln
An Evacuation Site is available at McCambridge Recreation Center (1515 N Glenoaks Blvd).
There is the potential for mud & debris flows in these areas. Residents are advised that if they do not evacuate, public safety services may not be able to reach them in an emergency due to impassable roads. If you see significant mud, debris or fast-flowing water, do not try to cross it or drive a vehicle through it, shelter in place or avoid for your safety.
CLOSURES:
Country Club Drive above Via Montana is experiencing flooding, heavy debris and water flow, and mudslide activity, warranting the closure of Country Club Drive. The water flow has displaced parked vehicles and created a hazardous and potentially dangerous environment. Burbank Police Officers are on-scene along with Public Works. Residents are asked to stay indoors for now and listen for any further instruction.
Walnut Avenue at Sunset Canyon is CLOSED for now.
Harvard Road at Sunset Canyon is CLOSED for now.
The Stough Nature Center is CLOSED for now.
The Wildwood Canyon recreation area is CLOSED for now.
