Train V Ped 01-18-2015

On January 17, 2015, at about 4:05 pm, a male pedestrian was struck by a southbound Metrolink Train on the train tracks north of the Magnolia Boulevard Overpass in Burbank. The male was pronounced dead at the scene by Burbank Fire Department Paramedics. He was later identified as George Gregory Plitt Jr.

This evening, at approximately 4:55 p.m., Burbank Police Officers responded to the Burbank Boulevard and Victory Boulevard regarding a male who had reportedly jumped off the overpass.

Female Dies From An Apparent Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound - 01-08-2015

This morning, at approximately 7:55 a.m., Burbank Police Officers responded to the 800 block of Reese Place regarding a female who had reportedly shot herself. When officers arrived on scene, they located a female in the driveway of a residence with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The female died at the scene.

DUI Checkpoint results from 12-19-14

On Friday, December 19, 2014, the Burbank Police Department Traffic Bureau conducted a DUI Checkpoint on Glenoaks Boulevard at Magnolia Boulevard in the City of Burbank. A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration funded the checkpoint.
