MOTORCYCLIST INVOLVED IN FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION - 11-22-14

On November 22, 2014, at approximately 2:40 a.m., an officer was working patrol in the area of Alameda Avenue and Buena Vista Street, when he observed a motorcyclist traveling eastbound on Alameda Avenue at a high rate of speed. The motorcyclist nearly collided with a stopped vehicle and skidded halfway through the intersection, on a red light.

BPOA & BPD Command Staff Donate $1500 To The Burbank Temporary Aid Center

On November 20, 2014, the Burbank Police Officers' Association and the Burbank Police Department Command Staff presented Executive Director, Barbara Howell and the Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC) a check in the amount of $1,500.00. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, BTAC will distribute more than 1,000 turkeys, serving over 500 households in Burbank.

PEDESTRIAN INVOLVED IN FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

On October 26, 2014, at approximately 7:24 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Hollywood Way and Victory Boulevard. A 76-year-old female resident of Burbank was walking eastbound on Victory Boulevard crossing Hollywood Way when she was struck by a delivery van, driven by a 51-year-old male resident of Burbank. The driver of the delivery van was making a right-hand turn from southbound Hollywood Way to westbound Victory Boulevard.

MOTORCYCLIST INVOLVED IN FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

On October 25, 2014, at approximately 2:16 a.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred in the area of Riverside Drive and Gaylord Drive. When Burbank Police Department and Burbank Fire Department personnel arrived, they discovered a motorcyclist partially trapped beneath an unoccupied vehicle, parked along the south curb of Riverside Drive east of Gaylord Drive.
