Sex Registrant Arrested in Possession of Child Pornography: Police Looking for Possible Victims

On January 2, 2103, at 2:47 p.m., a Burbank Motor Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of North Ontario Street, near a local elementary school. The driver, and sole occupant of the gold 2000 Toyota Camry, was not wearing his seatbelt.

The male admitted he did not have his driver’s license and a records check revealed he was Donald Cowan (M/69) a registered sex offender from Moreno Valley. A subsequent search of his vehicle located young girls clothing in the trunk. Further investigation revealed Donald Cowan was in possession of pornographic pictures of young girls.

Donald Cowan was arrested for possession of images depicting person(s) under the age of 18 involved in sexual acts. (311.11 PC) Donald Cowan’s bail is set at $ 380,000 and his arraignment will be on 01/04/13 in Burbank Superior Court.

Donald Cowan is described as a Male White, short brown hair and blue eyes, about 5’04” tall, weighing about 115 pounds. When he was arrested he was wearing a denim long sleeve shirt and blue jeans.
