Quality of Life Officer

The Quality Of Life position was established to enhance our response to community needs that affect the daily concerns of our residents and business owners.  These needs routinely take an extended period of time outside of the emergency operations required by our patrol operations.

The Quality of Life Officer is a uniformed assignment responsible for quality of life issues involving city parks, libraries, residential and business districts.  The QOL officers communicate with other city personnel to address the long term solutions to ongoing problems affecting our residents and business owners involving the municipal code, license and code violations.

The QOL officers provide support and relief to the Mental Evaluation Team as needed. They engage our homeless population to provide intervention and information on local shelters and additional resources

The QOL officers assist our Community Resource Officers in conducting tours of our police facility and museum.
