Youth Academy

The Youth Academy is designed to educate young members of our community on how to prepare for a challenging career in law enforcement or another area of public service. The course will help students understand how police officers work, as well as providing a better understanding of departmental operations. The schedule includes special guest speakers from the Burbank Police Department and physical training.

The Youth Academy is available to young people between the ages of 14 and 17 who live or attend school in the City of Burbank.

Candidates should have strong morale values, a commitment to learn, an interest in a career in law enforcement, and uphold the mission and core values of the Burbank Police Department.

Those who complete the course may be eligible to become Burbank PD Explorers.
