BURBANK ANIMAL SHELTER - SUNDAY CLOSURES
May 24, 2019 11:31 AM
Since October of 2018, the Burbank Animal Shelter has undergone a rehabilitation process after it was discovered that uninvited rodents had taken up residence in the facility. Since then, what started as an extermination process has become a full-fledged beauty makeover of the shelter.
The City of Burbank and Burbank Police Department is taking this opportunity to make significant changes and improvements to the shelter, to include new paint inside and out, new flooring, new blinds, new living facilities for cats (condos), replacing older ceilings, removing foliage against the building, and installing drought-proof landscaping.
The Burbank Police Department is confident the citizens of Burbank, Animal Shelter employees, and volunteers will be proud of our final product.
To help expedite the speed of the transformation and improvements, the Burbank Animal Shelter will be temporarily suspending its Sunday hours of operation. Beginning on Sunday, June 2, 2019, the Burbank Animal Shelter will be CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC on Sundays until further notice. All other days and hours of operation will remain unchanged.
