Community Resource Officers
The goal of the Burbank Police Department is to reduce crime, and enhance the “quality of life”. Community Resource Officers (C.R.O.’s) work as liaisons between the public and the Police Department in helping to resolve community problems.
Community Resource Officers responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Special projects on matters of community relations and partnership building.

Serve as a referral source to citizens in need of services.

Coordinate Neighborhood Watch meetings.

Coordinate Community/Citizen Police Academies (English, Spanish, Deaf/Hard of Hearing, and Armenian).

Coordinate the Police Volunteer Program.

Teach Regional Occupation Program (R.O.P.) Law Enforcement classes as a joint partnership with the Burbank Unified School District.

Provide safety talks to local schools, churches, groups/organizations, and businesses.
