Police Administrator Viviana Garzon
Police Administrator Viviana Garzon has been dedicated to serving the City of Burbank since 2001. Prior to her role in the Police Department, Mrs. Garzon served as the Senior Administrative Analyst in the City Manager’s Office. In this capacity, she was actively involved in the city's administration and policy processes, and served as the staff liaison to the Domestic Violence Task Force and the Charter Review Committee. Mrs. Garzon’s leadership extends to her time in the Parks and Recreation Department, where she spearheaded key community programs and events, including the award-winning Connect with your Community! initiative in Burbank’s five focus neighborhoods and the Burbank Neighborhood Leadership Program.
As the commanding officer of the Budget and Finance Division, she is responsible for overseeing the fiscal operations of the Police Department. Functioning as an internal service unit, the primary objective of the Budget and Finance Division is to ensure financial stewardship within the Department, managing resources efficiently and effectively. The Division oversees four key components for the Department’s operations, including: budget development and management; tracking annual expenses and revenue; payroll, contract management, and procurement of a diverse array of supplies and equipment; and grants management for various Federal and State grants, and asset forfeiture. The Division also manages several special revenue funds, consisting of restricted resources earmarked for specific programs. Mrs. Garzon provides diverse administrative support and project management functions for the Police Department.
Mrs. Garzon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology & Public Affairs from the University of California Los Angeles and a Master of Public Administration degree from Cal State University Northridge. She is a proud Burbank resident and Leadership Burbank alumni.
