Burbank Animal Shelter Closure – April 9 - 13, 2019
April 3, 2019 12:26 PM
UPDATE: CLOSURE EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL 13, 2019
The Burbank Animal Shelter will be closed for animal adoptions beginning on April 9, 2019 through April 13, 2019, due to ongoing construction and building maintenance. During this time, all buildings will be inaccessible to the public and to Shelter employees. The Shelter will be limited on the number of animals it can accept during this time. Shelter animals will be boarded offsite during the construction and fostered by members of the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter.
The Shelter will reopen on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 11:00 AM for adoptions.
The Animal Shelter is asking Burbank residents to delay relinquishing owned animals until the shelter reopens and resumes normal operations, once kennels are again accessible. Shelter staff will continue to respond to calls for service during the closure period and will remain available for the intake of stray animals found within the City of Burbank.
In the event that telephone access is interrupted, callers should leave detailed messages with contact information. For after-hours animal shelter service emergencies, the public should contact the Burbank Police Department at (818) 238-3000.
For questions regarding this statement, please contact the Burbank Animal Shelter, at (818) 238-3340.
The Burbank Animal Shelter is located at 1150 N. Victory Pl. in the City of Burbank.
