STOLEN VEHICLE AWARENESS
Vehicles can be stolen at anytime, anywhere - in front of your house, at shopping centers, at work, and in parking structures. If your vehicle is stolen, do you know pertinent information about your vehicle to provide to law enforcement? The Burbank Police Department would like to offer a few suggestions which will help you to assist officers in the event your vehicle is stolen.
On a small index card, write down the following information and place it in your wallet or purse.
► License Plate
► VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
► Make
► Model
► Year
► Color
Use the camera feature on your cell phone to take and save a picture of your vehicle’s license plate and VIN.In the event your vehicle is stolen you can quickly provide the police department communications center, as well as officers when they arrive, important information about your vehicle to assist in its recovery.
