Six Gang Members Arrested For Stabbing Female In Burbank Last Month
DATE: March 19, 2013
On Saturday, February 09, 2013, shortly after 2:00 a.m., Burbank police officers responded to a call of an unknown problem in the 200 block of North Griffith Park Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim of a stabbing.
The victim, a female Hispanic from Pacoima, suffered life-threatening wounds from the attack. She initially received assistance from a Burbank resident who called 911. Burbank police officers and Burbank Fire Department paramedics provided treatment at the scene. Paramedics subsequently transported her to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition.
The investigation led to the identification of five adult suspects and one juvenile suspect for the attempted murder in Burbank. Burbank Police Investigators, working with the Los Angeles Police Department, connected the same suspects to a shooting that occurred earlier in LAPD’s Rampart Area. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Hardcore Gang Unit filed attempted murder and conspiracy to commit murder charges on all six suspects.
As of March 16, 2013, all six suspects have been apprehended. The six suspects are being held on $3,040,000 bail and are scheduled to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 22, 2013.
The suspects have been identified as:
Juan Carlos Reyes, M/19, resident of Los Angeles
Paul Pineda, M/34, resident of Los Angeles
Ingrid Quintanilla, F/20, resident of Los Angeles
Christopher Castellanos, M/18, resident of Los Angeles
Jesse Pineda, M/22, resident of Las Vegas (Arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada)
Male Juvenile, 17 years old, being held at a Juvenile Detention Facility
The investigation is on-going and the Burbank Police Department continues to collaborate with the Los Angeles Police Department, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Hardcore Gang office to ensure a successful prosecution.
