City of Burbank hillside burn area voluntary evacuations and other information
A Voluntary Evacuation Warning is being issued in the City of Burbank hillside burn areas beginning tonight, January 8, 2018 from 10:00 P.M. through 6:00 A.M. tomorrow morning, January 9, to be extended as necessary.
Heavy rainfall is predicted in Burbank over the next 24-48 hours, which can produce significant mud and debris flows in the La Tuna Fire burn areas.
An elementary school teacher has been arrested following allegations of having an inappropriate sexual encounter with a minor and former student.
The Burbank Police Department Traffic Bureau conducted a DUI and driver license checkpoint on December 15, 2017. The checkpoint was held in the vicinity of Olive Avenue and Lake Street between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 2:00 A.M, and garnered several citations.
