Coyote Awareness

Coyotes are indigenous to the Verdugo Mountains and sightings of them in adjacent residential areas are common during this time of year. Typically, they are more active in the spring when caring for their young and in search of food and water. Coyotes are naturally fearful of humans, but they may become less apprehensive if given easy access to human food and garbage.

 

Burbank Animal Shelter Partners With Local Retail Pet Stores

The Burbank Animal Shelter is excited to expand their adoption services in and outside of the City of Burbank. In partnership with local retail pet stores and The VBAS, the Burbank Animal Shelter will hold traveling adoption events starting with Peggy Wood’s Pet Emporium on March 2, 2013 and A La Mutt on March 16, 2013.

Six Gang Members Arrested For Stabbing Female in Burbank Last Month

On Saturday, February 09, 2013, shortly after 2:00 a.m., Burbank police officers responded to a call of an unknown problem in the 200 block of North Griffith Park Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim of a stabbing.

 

Sex Registrant Arrested in Possession of Child Pornography: Police Looking for Possible Victims

On January 2, 2103, at 2:47 p.m., a Burbank Motor Officer conducted a traffic stop in the 1900 block of North Ontario Street, near a local elementary school. The driver, and sole occupant of the gold 2000 Toyota Camry, was not wearing his seatbelt.
