On Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 4:13 a.m., Burbank Police received a call regarding a single vehicle accident on San Fernando Boulevard near the Scott Road off-ramp of the Golden State Freeway.
On arrival, officers observed a Nissan sedan fully engulfed in flames against the freeway abutment. In addition, there was a small grass fire associated with the crash. An 18-year old female passenger, who escaped the burning vehicle, was transported to LA County Medical Center.
