El Departamento de Policía de Burbank realiza academias comunitarias en Inglés, español, armenio, y para las personas sordas / con problemas de audición durante todo el año para aquellos que viven o trabajan en la ciudad de Burbank. Estas academias son una excelente oportunidad para que el Departamento de Policía de permita que las personas de la comunidad obtengan un conocimiento del personal y las operaciones del Departamento.

Now Enrolling for the Winter/Spring 2014 Community Academy

The Burbank Police Department conducts community academies in English, Spanish, Armenian, and for the deaf/hard of hearing throughout the year for those who live or work in the City of Burbank. These academies are a terrific opportunity for the Burbank Police Department to reach out to its diverse community and allow individuals to get a behind-the-scenes look at the personnel and operations of the Department.

BICYCLE REGISTRATION EVENT

Nationwide, thousands of stolen or lost bicycles are recovered, but many are never returned to their owners. Unfortunately, the BPD is a part of that statistic. To help lower the national and local numbers, the BPD is establishing a database which will help us return bicycles to their owners in the event they are ever lost or stolen.

Guilty Verdict In Murder Trial

On Thursday afternoon, December 19, 2013, a Los Angeles Superior Court jury convicted Jorge Villalobos (47), a resident of San Gabriel, of First Degree Murder in connection with the 2008 murder of lifetime Burbank resident Glen Giles (47).

POLICE GIVE A HELPING HAND

The Burbank Police Officers' Association and the Burbank Police Department Command Staff presented Executive Director, Barbara Howell and the Burbank Temporary Aid Center (BTAC) a check in the amount of $1,500.00. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, BTAC will distribute more than 1,000 turkeys, serving over 500 households in Burbank.
